Cornwall Sailing Holidays
Sailing Holiday Type
Coastal With Relaxed Day Sailing
I liked everything about it – the places we visited, the sailing, the views through the portholes, the anchorages and the food. I think I was lucky to be with such a great bunch of people.
Beginners are welcome on any voyage. If you have never sailed before, more information about what to expect from this sailing weekend is here

About Life Onboard
Sailing the Cornish Rivers
This is the first time Cornwall sailing holidays have been available onboard our schooner Trinovante but John, the skipper, knows this area very well having sailed his previous boat extensively around Plymouth and Falmouth.
Devon and Cornwall are both very popular sailing areas.
The Cornish coastline is more rugged with craggy cliffs giving way to soft green woody river valleys further inland. Here trees kiss the water at high tide.
The Devon coast is softer than the Cornish coast but still has it’s jagged headlands and sheltered bays.
Dartmouth, Plymouth and Fowey are places we might visit. Most nights Trinovante will be alongside in harbour but we do also hope to spend a night at anchor.
A trip to the Eddystone Lighthouse might be possible, if the wind and tides are right.
This Cornwall sailing holiday ends in Falmouth. Falmouth’s oyster dredging fishery is unique in that it does not allow the user of engines and is the only sail-powered fishery in the UK.
All voyage notes refer only to possible itineraries – where we sail, passage lengths and the places we call into will be entirely dependent on the wind and weather at the time.
What’s included in the price?
- All meals onboard
We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Obviously, if you choose to eat ashore, this is at your own expense. We can cater for most diets, but you must let us know about special diets at the time of booking. We cannot cater for special diets at short notice.
- Non-alcoholic drinks
Ships rules are no drinking alcohol at sea or if we are about to sail. This does NOT mean Trinovante is a dry boat – it’s fine to have a drink in the evening when we are at anchor or alongside. We don’t sell alcohol on board so bring your own.
- Use of life-jackets and wet weather gear
What is not included in the price?
- Your travel to and from the ship.
Every voyage has travel information pages and info about finding the ship in harbour.
- Travel insurance
This is compulsory for all voyages apart from Sailing Weekends.
We have a page on Buying Travel Insurance For Sailing Holidays
