The Schooner Trinovante
Designed and built by her current owners for long distance sailing, Trinovante is British registered. She is UK Marine and Coast Guard Agency coded for Category 1 and carries all the required safety equipment.
Trinovante is big enough for you to feel the thrill and excitement of sailing on a Tall Ship whilst still being small enough to take you to those out of the way places most larger vessels can only dream of.
The three masted gaff rig is an absolute joy to sail and the rig is easy to get to grips with. Whether you are an experienced sailor or a complete beginner this is a boat that simply invites you to get involved.
The possibilities for different sail combinations are many and all the sails are a manageable size. You can view the sail plan here.

“What immediately impressed me, the “yachtie”, was the space on board …the relaxed running of Trinovante was down to the obvious professionalism of both John and Su. I enjoyed it. I look forward to sailing on Trinovante again.”

If you are used to sailing on yachts or smaller traditional boats, on Trinovante you will enjoy the freedom of being able to walk around on deck whilst underway.
If you are used to sailing on larger tall ships, as part of a smaller crew on Trinovante, you will have much more opportunity to get involved with the sailing, steering , pulling ropes and all the things that sailors do.
Down below Trinovante has a comfortable, warm wood interior and solid fuel stove. The crew accommodation forward has two double cabins, one single cabin/bunk and a four single bunks in a communal area.
The engine and two toilets are amidships
The saloon is aft. Unlike many boats, no one sleeps in the saloon
Guest numbers are limited to eight.
