BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. 50% of your voyage fee is payable
at the time of your booking application, this is non refundable
should you cancel your voyage. The balance is payable on the
day you arrive onboard unless otherwise stated at the time
of booking. If for any reason we are unable to accept your
booking application all voyage fees paid will be refunded
in full.
2. We will hold verbal bookings for 7 days pending receipt
of completed booking form and 50% of the voyage fee.
3. A completed booking form must be received and approved
by Schoonersail before sailing onboard Trinovante. Please
do not book flights or make travel arrangements until your
booking has been confirmed.
4. The price paid includes all meals on board (meals ashore
are not included), use of safety equipment, all mooring fees,
harbour dues and fuel costs. It does not include travel insurance
and travel to and from the boat.
5. Whilst Schoonersail makes every effort not to change any
advertised itinerary reasons beyond our control such as adverse
weather conditions, mechanical problems etc. may make this
necessary. therefore no itinerary is guaranteed. For the same
reasons ports of joining and leaving cannot be absolutely
guaranteed.
6. If a voyage is cancelled prior to the advertised start
date Schoonersail will refund all voyage fees paid in full.
7. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance
as soon as your booking is confirmed. It should be suitable
for sailing/yachting, give you financial protection if you
cancel or curtail your holiday or incur any medical or additional
travel expenses and cover loss or damage to baggage and personal
items.
Safety on board
8. The skipper and/or his delegated representative’s
decision is final in all matters relating to the safe running
of Trinovante and her tenders. Guests acknowledge that sailing
can be a dangerous activity and for reasons of safety agree
to follow the instructions of the skipper and/or his delegated
representative at all times.
9. Alcohol is only consumed at the skipper’s discretion
and never at sea.
10. No animals, unlawful drugs or goods of any kind are to
be brought on board.
11. Schoonersail is not responsible for guests whilst they
are ashore.
12. Trinovante is approved to the standards required in the

13. Schoonersail
reserves the right to put ashore at the first available opportunity
any guest considered by the skipper to be disruptive or to
be behaving in such a way as to be a risk to themselves, the
safety of the vessel or crew.
Health
14. It is a condition that you have
an adequate level of health and fitness to participate actively
in sailing Trinovante and have declared on your booking form
any relevant medical conditions and /or disabilities. Failure
to disclose all information may forfeit your berth, even at
short notice.
15. It is your duty to inform Schoonersail
of any changes in your medical fitness that arise between
the time of booking and sailing.
16. You must be able to climb a 3m
vertical ladder unassisted unless declared at the time of
booking. There is no working aloft.
17. You must inform the skipper
of any medication you may be taking during the voyage. If
you are being treated with prescribed drugs please ensure
that you are carrying the correct drugs and dosage for the
voyage. You must also consult your doctor about any problems
seasickness may cause with your medication and the suitability
of any seasickness remedies you may take.
18. If you will need sea sickness medication please make sure
you bring enough with you.
19. You must tell of us about any special dietary requirements
at the time of booking.
20. Do phone us if you are unsure about what is involved in
sailing onboard. You can talk direct to the skipper on the
boat phone.
Everything else
21. Guests under the age of 18 only by special arrangement
and must have the written consent of a parent or guardian.
22. Schoonersail does not accept any responsibility for any
damage to electrical items that you may bring with you. We
recommend that you don’t bring such items but if you
do please make sure that you have adequate insurance
23. Smokers must smoke only on deck.
24. It is customary for guests to get involved with domestic
duties on board such as cooking and light cleaning,
25. We do not share your personal details with any one else
unless we need to for practical or safety purposes.
26. Schoonersail reserves the right to change these terms
and conditions without notice.
