What the crews of Trinovante have written about their sailing holidays.... |

I liked everything about it - the places we visited, the sailing, the views through the portholes, the food and that last night anchored in the Markenmeer with a view of two lighthouses. I think I was lucky to be with such a great bunch of people. Just a note of thanks for the fabulous time I had aboard Trinovante across the north sea. I think it mended something in me I hadn't realised was broken. Of course the reason it's so good is the way you make us incompetent crew able to share a part of your life.
"Food, laughter and space were all in generous
supply, as were the opportunities to learn as much
or as little as you chose. From idyllic anchorages
and dory outings to sailing through a phosphorescent
sea with more stars than I have ever seen, magical.
Thanks Su and John the tapestry of life is richer
for having sailed with you." Thank you both for a lovely trip up North. It was good to have had the opportunity to visit that part of the world on Trinovante. It was so chilled and so very beautiful. "I would recommend Trinovante as a good introduction
to sailing as crew on larger vessels .. Sue and John
are very keen to explain the workings of the ship.
The fact that they have designed and built Trinovante
themselves means that they don't just operate the
vessel but understand how it was put together and
how it works." The skies were mesmeric when the sun shone, azure blue backed by ranks of serried clouds. Trinovante sailed onwards
over the moonlit sea, shooting stars above us, and
dolphins playing around the bows. I've been meaning to write to you and say thanks
for a great weeks sailing for sometime. and your newsletter
finally prompted me do it. |
Thanks again for the super time in Norway. Certainly ranks anomg the best sailing experiences I have had. Thanks for a truly memorable weekend! The sailing
experience and tuition were first class: I enjoyed the
companionship very much: all that under the leadership
of two people talented and thoroughly pleasant in equal
measure. It was a privilege. Thank you again. And the
megastar was Trinovante - what a ship!
"What
immediately impressed me, the "yachtie", was
the space on board ...I found that the running of the
day to day sailing on board Trinovante much different
from my previous sails. I was used to, I suppose, a
more regimented watch bill. However, the relaxed running
of Trinovante was down to the obvious professionalism
of both John and Su. I enjoyed it. I look forward to
sailing on Trinovante again." "We had a wonderful
week aboard Trinovante with you and the rest of the
crew. We felt very proud to be involved in taking a
beautiful schooner to a great sail festival such as
Sail Amsterdam. Many of the experiences of that week
will always be fondly remembered by the both of us." "Its
an unproven but widely held belief that tea drunk al-fresco
tastes better than when taken in the comfort of indoors:
a week's voyage on a tall ship was all it took to convince
me that the same also holds true for a full English
breakfast! "
What a great time I had with you and my fellow crew
members last weekend. Sailing is
not just about the ocean, but also about departures
and arrivals. Thanks for a
fantastic week Bergen - Trondheim. "Sailing on
Trinovante recently afforded me chance to be reacquainted
with the excitement of Tall ship sailing. Su and John
are excellent teachers and hosts. After a week the rudiments
of working the rig and sails is easily grasped." When we weren't zooming along at 8 knots there was plenty to keep us occupied, two sightings of dolphin, beautiful, clear starry night skies, perfect for shooting star viewing. And my favourite thing; phosphorescence, and dancing on them when they got washed up on deck to make them sparkle. |
