And Islands Alesund to Bergen Trinovante has sailed this part of the coast for several years now and will be taking you to some of the beautiful places we have found on previous voyages and hopefully discover some new places to. Beautiful islands, stunning steep sided fjords and a maze of narrow wooded waterways just before Bergen await. There is 12 hour offshore passage on this leg. Norwegian Fjords
And Islands Bergen to Stavanger With the coastal chain of islands rapidly turning into stunning deep fjords as soon as you head inland this was the first area Trinovante ever visited in Norway. There is lots to see as we head south. The fabulous walk to the hanging glacier at Sundal and visiting Nordheimsund traditional boat center are just a couple of possibilities. Bergen and Stavanger are also both worth a visit in their own right. Sea Miles 140 more details and travel options for this sailing holiday view details for all 2012 sailing holidays |

| Schoonersail will make every effort not to change or cancel any advertised voyage. However reasons beyond our control including, but not limited to, unsuitable weather can make this necessary. Therefore ports of joining, leaving and ports of call cannot be and are not guaranteed. Sea mileage given in this itinerary is an estimate. | |||
Everyone can get a discount on their sailing holiday.
In an effort to keep prices as low for you as we can we give you a discount if you pay us by bank transfer (or, for your balance payment due when you arrive onboard by bank transfer or cash) this saves us administrative costs which we pass on to you.
You can of course pay us by credit or debit card or cheque but then you need to pay the non discounted price in brackets.
So it's that simple - pay by bank transfer - get a discount!
You must have a good level of fitness to sail
on Trinovante. You are booking a voyage on a sail training type vessel not a ferry or a 'coach trip on a boat experience'. Rough weather can be
encountered on any voyage or taster weekend. You will
be participating fully in all aspects of sailing as
an active member of the crew. Trinovante operates on a 24hour
watch system on all voyages over 10 hours and you will
be expected to stand watches. You must be able to climb a 5 metre vertical ladder
unaided (you are not expected to work aloft but you
will have to negotiate dock side ladders pictures here on our FAQS page and feel confident
to jump down from a height of 0.75 metre (2.5 feet).
As a general guideline a good level of agility
is much more important than overall physical strength
or aerobic fitness. Many of the places on the itineraries are very remote and well off the beaten track and there are few marina type facilities with gangways and pontoons etc. Berthing is often in commercial docks and alongside quays and may have to climb over other vessels to get ashore.
If you are in any doubt as to the suitability, or what to expect, from any one of our voyages do give us a ring on the boat phone and have a chat. You will be talking to the skipper or mate who sail onboard in these waters every year and can tell you exactly what is involved.
Do be clear that Trinovante is not a' pull on a rope if you want to' tall ship. You are booking a full participation sailing holiday.
