This short film of dolphins swimming alongside Trinovante was shot early one morning off the west coast of Ireland last summer. We had sailed overnight from the Western Isles in Scotland and were gently running into the bay when someone spotted a large group of 20 to 30 dolphins in the distance, heading straight for us. They stayed with us for over an hour, weaving around and diving under the bow.
The film captures perfectly the dolphins in their own environment, free to come and go as they please while the crew watch from the deck: 'Hey, there's four on the port bow!' 'Have they gone?' 'No, no, there they are again!'
Make sure you have your sound turned up so you can listen to the music.
