You need to have a good level of fitness to sail on Trinovante. Most of our voyages involve offshore sailing which can be physically and mentally challenging, especially in rough weather. You will be participating fully in all aspects of sailing as an active member of the crew. Trinovante operates on a 24hour watch system on all voyages over 10 hours and you will be expected to stand watches. You must be able to climb a 4 metre vertical ladder unaided (you are not expected to work aloft but you may need to negotiate dock side ladders) and feel confident to jump down from a height of 0.75 metre (2.5 feet).  As a general fitness guideline agility is more important than overall physical strangth.

If you are in any doubt whatsoever as to the suitability of a voyage just give us a ring on the boat phone and we can tell you exactly what’s involved. Do be aware that this is a primarily a sailing holiday and not a nature watching cruise.
