Offshore Voyage- UK to Norwegian Fjords Ipswich to Trondheim A challenging offshore voyage sailing from the UK to Norway and then a week or so cruising as we please via the fjords and islands up to Trondheim.This is a potentially physically and mentally challenging voyage with a long offshore passage lasting several days. Tall Ships Race Leg Kristiansand to Hartlepool ( Join the boat in Stavanger) Two and a half days of race training on the way down to join the Tall Ships fleet in Kristiansand followed by the Tall Ships Race across the North Sea. You also get time in Kristiansand and Hartlepool to join in all the festivities that surround the Tall Ships races. Absolutely not to be missed. Tall Ships Race Leg Hartlepool to Sail Amsterdam Race with the Tall Ships fleet from Hartlepool to Ijmiuden and then join in all the Parade of Sail and festivities at one of the largest sail festivals in Europe at Amsterdam. This is potentially a very physically and mentally challenging race leg with a long offshore passage lasting several days. Sailing in The Netherlands Amsterdam to Amsterdam Relaxed sailing on the Dutch inland seas with opportunities to explore the beautiful dutch towns ashore. North Sea Crosing Amsterdam to London (Limehouse) Sailing back across the North Sea to Trinovante's home waters on the Thames Estuary with a little time for exploring and day sailing when we get back to the UK. Schoonersail will make every effort not to change or cancel any advertised voyage. However reasons beyond our control including, but not limited to, unsuitable weather can make this necessary. Therefore ports of joining, leaving and ports of call cannot be and are not guaranteed. Sea mileage given in this itinerary is an estimate.

Getting to the Boat
All our ports of call have been specially chosen with ease of travel to and from the boat in mind.

Unless other wise stated joining time is 6pm on the first day and we provide an evening meal. Crew leave the boat at 10 am on the last day.

Sorry but we do not take under 18's.

Sailing holiday prices are per person and include
-all meals on board
-use of foul weather gear/suits and safety equipment
-all mooring fees, harbour dues and fuel costs.
There are no hidden costs.
Prices do not include travel to and from the boat or travel insurance.

Please phone us on the boat phone (details on contact us and booking page) or e mail us first to check we still have a space available (note that we are often only able to answer e mails when we are inbetween voyages). Next go to the how to book page and follow the instructions there. We like to speak to everyone before they book and we do not take bookings on the basis of e mail contact alone. Do not send a deposit until you have checked that we still have spaces left on the voyage you have chosen.
Do not book flights or make travel arrangements until we have confirmed your booking in writing.

You must have a good level of fitness to sail on Trinovante. Most of our voyages involve offshore sailing which can be both physically and mentally challenging, especially in rough weather which can be encountered on any voyage or taster weekend. You will be participating fully in all aspects of sailing as an active member of the crew. Schoonersail does not take non participants. Trinovante operates on a 24hour (4 on 4 off or 5 on 5 off) watch system on all voyages over 10 hours and you will be expected to stand watches. You must be able to climb a 5metre vertical ladder unaided (you are not expected to work aloft but you will have to negotiate dock side ladders) and feel confident to jump down from a height of 0.75 metre (2.5 feet). As a general guideline a good level of agility is much more important than overall physical strength or aerobic fitness.

If you are in any doubt whatsoever as to the suitability of a voyage just give us a ring on the boat phone. You will be talking to the skipper or mate sailing onboard in the Summer and we can tell you exactly what’s involved . Do be clear that Trinovante is not a' pull on a rope if you want to' boat. You are booking a full participation sailing holiday with fellow sailing enthusiasts not ''a coach trip on a boat'.
