A niche small operator ( always best in our opinion) offering small group boat, bus and guided walk tours of the fjord land area in New Zealand.
Skiing and Outdoor Activities in Norway
We met the people with this hotel recently. Set in a beautiful location north of Oslo it's reasonably priced, the food is excellent and full board is included. There are loads of opportunities for winter sports or summer outdoor activities. Well worth a look and Dorte, the manager speaks excellent English.

Crime And Thriller Fiction
One of our neighbours in the boatyard runs Ostara Publishing. He owns a lovely little classic yacht which quite by chance features in one of the titles he has recently published. Ostara Publishing re-issue titles that have become unavailable either through the ravages of time or the forces of publishing economics. Their range goes from the1920s through to the 21st century. Andy particularly recommends A Flock Of Ships, it's just the sort of read John, Trinovante's skipper would enjoy. Check out his website for a thrilling holiday read. |
