Designed
and built by her current owners with safety in mind,
Trinovante was launched in 1994.The boat carries all the usual safety equipment and is UK Marine and Coast Guard Agency coded for category 1.
At 50 tons she is big enough for you to feel the thrill
and excitement of sailing on a tall ship whilst still
being small enough to take you to those out of the way
places that most larger vessels can only dream of.
The three masted gaff rig is an absolute joy to sail
with whether you are an experienced sailor or
an complete beginner this is a boat that simply invites
you to get involved. The possibilities for different
sail combinations are huge whilst keeping all the sails
to a manageable size. Its a rig that is ideal for sail training. There is plenty for everyone to do and although you might initially feel like you are on a steep learning curve onboard the rig is relatively simple and by the end of the first week most people are getting to grips with it..
Down below Trinovante is fitted with a comfortable, warm, wood
interior and solid fuel Rayburn. The crew accommodation forward
has two double cabins, one single cabin and a communal
four berth area with bunks. The saloon is situated aft.
This works really works well for a happy social crew.
Guest numbers are limited to eight for voyages and 12 for day sails. We do not have
people berthed in the saloon area.
